PHOENIX, Ariz.- The Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals Network (NARPRO) together with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance are on a mission to help end the summer stresses of overheated and damaged cars and near-empty food banks.
Valley NARPRO shops will be accepting food donations during the first full week of August, (4th through the 9th. Anyone who stops by a NARPRO shop and donates a minimum of five non-perishable food items for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance will receive a free car summer checkup/inspection. Included are a tire rotation, tire pressure check and topping off of fluids. Each donor will also be entered in a drawing to win up to four free oil changes for a year, at a value of $175. Go to http://www.NARPRO.com to find the shop nearest you and for the list of non-perishable items needed by St. Mary’s.
Food banks usually run into a shortage of donations during the summer months when the homeless and hungry can be overlooked. This year with the added increase of economic strain, the decline in donations has been much greater. By bringing awareness to this problem, NARPRO.com hopes to aid in putting food on the table for people in need.
Summertime also puts an additional strain on cars, especially in Phoenix. Giving your car regular check-ups, keeping the critical fluids topped off and maintaining the right tire pressures can help your car run more reliably while saving money. NARPRO is on a mission to keep drivers and their cars operating safe and cool all summer long.
NARPRO only recommends independent, family-owned, full-service auto repair shops that have passed 26 rigorous tests of their certifications, customer service, performance, facilities management and auto repair standards record of service to the community. Drivers may visit http://www.NARPRO.com to find recommended shops near their work or home. Or they may simply call (602) 257-0033 and talk to someone who will connect them to find a top-quality shop in their neighborhood. Either way, NARPRO is the easiest way to find an honest mechanic.
