East Valley dentist partners with Toys for Tots Dec. 3-16; offers unique incentives to community members; and reminds us about the importance of good oral hygiene over the holidays

PHOENIX, Ariz. (November 2013)—The holiday season is a busy time of year, especially at J. Philipp Centers for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Chandler. The dental practice will host a Toys for Tots toy drive Dec. 3-16 during regular business hours at its office at 3230 S. Gilbert Road, Ste. 4, in Chandler. Each person who donates a new, unwrapped toy will be entered to win a Rotadent Electric Toothbrush (a nearly $200 value). In addition, the practice is offering an “All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth” special where patients receive 20% off of any cosmetic procedure during the month of December. As if that wasn’t enough, Justin Philipp, DMD, is also available to talk about good oral hygiene over the holiday season.

“Giving back is an important part of the holiday season and we’d like to encourage community members to stop by our office and drop off a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots,” says Philipp. “Many people put off dental care over the holiday season, so we’re offering 20% off of any cosmetic procedure during the month of December. To keep your teeth healthy this holiday season Philipp offers the following tips:

• Limit your consumption of sweets, sticky foods, and dark colored drinks (such as wine, coffee, hot chocolate, and the like).
• Brush teeth after every meal.
• Keep a toothbrush and travel size toothbrush handy; if you can’t brush your teeth right away rinse your mouth out with clean water.
• Don’t put off dental work over the holidays!
• Don’t let your usual oral care routine—including brushing and flossing—lax because of the holidays.
• Encourage good oral hygiene habits in children.
