(Phoenix, AZ April 17, 2015) – Do you know a future teacher or education student who needs a new set of wheels? NARPRO (Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals) wants to honor a deserving up-and-coming teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8, 2015) by giving away a refurbished and updated 1996 Ford Taurus. Many of the shops in the network took part in fixing up the donated vehicle and getting it into prime shape for the first Teacher Car Giveaway. Rules for the on-line essay contest are available at Facebook.com/NARPRO . Send all entries to NarproVIP@gmail.com for consideration. The contest opens today and runs through April 30, 2015.
“Teachers give so much of themselves,” said Howard Fleischmann, Sr. of NARPRO, “We wanted to give customers the opportunity to thank a deserving teacher-to-be for all the hard work they do day-in and day-out. What a better way to do that than to give them an amazing car to get them to classes or work?”
In addition to the vehicle, the winner will also receive free oil changes for a year and a VIP card good for discounts on car repair services at any valley NARPRO location.
Between now and April 30th, the public is encouraged to submit an essay to NarproVIP@gmail.com explaining why an education major orteacher-to-be in their life deserves the car. Essays should be no more than 250 words. Participants can nominate themselves, a family member, friend or any special valley teacher.
The essay winner will be chosen on or about May 1st by the NARPRO Board of Directors. The winning teacher-to-be will receive his/her new car during Teacher Appreciation Week. All other teachers nominated will win a free oil change and VIP membership with NARPRO.
NARPRO shops provide quality car care and help locate trusted auto repair shops in your area. NARPRO is celebrating 10 years in the Valley and this is part of their “10 Acts of Giving” movement to celebrate their milestone anniversary. In February, they awarded a car to a deserving Gilbert mom who is a part of the Helping Hands for Single Moms organization. During 2015, NARPRO will provide other acts of giving to worthy recipients to show their appreciation for all the wonderful people who make up our community.
