Howard Fleischmann elected President of Red Means Stop 2013

(SCOTTSDALE) January 30, 2013 – Howard J. Fleischmann Sr. has been elected President of the Red Means Stop Traffic Safety Alliance for 2013. Red Means Stop is a non-profit organization providing education and awareness programs on the dangers and consequences of red light running. Howard is co-owner and active manager of Community Tire Pros & Auto Repair with various locations in Phoenix and Glendale. Howard’s stepson Manuelito Joseph Patton was killed by a red light runner on October 17, 2008. “Mano” was a proud Marine preparing for his second tour of duty in Iraq.

Howard is actively involved in the community, focusing on programs that proactively support “helping others to help themselves”. He is or has been directly involved in supporting the 100 Club of Arizona, Homeward Bound, The Palomino School Community, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Association of Greater Phoenix, the Greater Phoenix Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and Local First Arizona.

In January 1999, three families who incurred the consequences of red light runners founded the Red Means Stop Coalition. The Red Means Stop Coalition is the only known grassroots organization of its kind in the United States with a long-term goal of having the message about the dangers and consequences of red light running spread throughout the country.
